Coffee is my friend
I love coffee. I tried to convince my sister to pick up the habit, but she said hot drinks make her think of curling up on the couch. Well, that and she's Mormon. But I say hey, everyone needs a vice. For some it is (continuous air quotes) being-hooked-on-electronic-forms-communications- that- you- make-your-69-year-old-mother-join-even-though-you-know-she-will-never-really-get-into-them. For others it is Dunkin' Donit's and hazelnut creamer. Yeah BABY! I love the smell of morning breath and coffee.

Teenage Girls
Teenage girls are a challenge. I know I will have fun dealing with my two little ladies when they hit the wonderful 'pre-teen' years. We'll have endless discussions about make-up, nail polish, piercings, boys, and clothes. I welcome it all, but it still makes me nervous.
I don't want to be "uncool" in my fashion (ie mom jeans). I also don't want to stunt any kind of hair trends. Goodness knows my mom tried to get me to 'knock down' my wall of bangs in the 80's. They looked ridiculous, but if I didn't have that crazy hair I would have missed a great opportunity to laugh at myself and my many other fashion choices.
I have experienced the new kind of teen fashion and it scares me! Skin tight pants (no matter what size the young lady) fake nails, shiny lip gloss, gold clothing, short shirts, short skirts, heels, boots, fishnet stockings...
These young girls look too suggestive.
On a lighter note, one friend told her teen daughter. "If you wear that you will look like a street walker!" When her girl asked what that was she said, "you know a prostitute." He daughter replied with a groan and then "WHY DO PROSTITUTES GET ALL THE GOOD CLOTHES?!"
